How is the desertification of underwater landscapes disrupting coastal ecosystems?

While habitat loss remains the primary cause of biodiversity erosion on a global scale, our understanding of the consequences of such upheavals in underwater habitats remains patchy and limited.
 
Against this backdrop, the TRIDENT project aims to develop a new modelling tool based on ecological traits to predict the effects of global change on marine biodiversity and the dynamics of ecosystems associated with the coastal seabed.
