Ocean and Coastal Nutrients Workshop

IFREMER and CSIRO are co-organising the "Ocean and Coastal Nutrients Workshop" to be held in Brest from 16 to 19 September 2024.
This workshop follows on from the INIV international oceanographic mission (https://wp.csiro.au/iniv) which took place in June 2023 in the Southern Ocean along the WOCE-JGOFS¬GO-SHIP¬CLIVAR SR03 hydrographic section. This mission brought together 15 international laboratories in an unprecedented intercalibration exercise aimed at quantifying and reducing the uncertainty of nutrient measurements in order to improve the quality of data integrated into global databases. This workshop will not only provide an opportunity to debrief the results obtained during the mission, but will also provide a forum for scientists to share their expertise and propose best practices that can then be adopted and implemented by all oceanographic institutions.
This workshop is funded by ISblue, the Brittany region, the Finistère departmental council and Brest Métropole. It is supported by the international programmes GO-SHIP, EuroGO-SHIP, SCOR, SOOS, POGO and the Decade of the Ocean.
